Come join us as we welcome a Christ-centered holiday season to the Palouse.

December 7-8, 2024

Join us in celebrating Jesus Christ through your art!

We have already begun preparations for the Palouse Community Christmas Festival. This event will be held December 7-8. This event will look a little different than it has in the past.

As part of this phenomenal event we would like to extend an invitation to each of you to first, ponder your faith in Jesus Christ. Then, think about how you might symbolically represent, through your own creative process, how your faith in and testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ have grown as you have put into practice the pleadings of President Nelson; “I plead with you today to counter the lure of the world by making time for the Lord in your life—each and every day. I plead with you now—to take charge of your own testimony of Jesus Christ and His gospel. Work for it. Nurture it so that it will grow. Feed it truth.“

The medium for your creation will be your choice. Painting, photography, quilting, woodworking, flower arranging, sculpting, welding—almost anything can be used to creatively represent the increased dimension and power that has come into your life as you have focused more intensely on Jesus Christ.

As part of the Christmas Festival we will anonymously display your works along with a short description of your “personal parable”; why and how your work represents your testimony of Christ.

PLEASE do not think that your piece has to be perfect in order to share!!!

Just as our works of art might not be perfect so too our testimonies are works in progress. We are all at varying levels of imperfection. Our goal is progress, not perfection. As we strengthen our own testimonies and share our experience with others we can also help to strengthen our neighbors. Old and young! Male and Female! Quantifiable artistic talent or those who feel they are lacking the necessary creativity are all invited to participate!

We will be accepting submissions up until October 1st. It does not have to be finished by then, we just need to know what you will be submitting.
